The Idea Market is a vision to be ‘the place’ where Business Owners in the valley can bring their business problems, challenges, questions, and (of course) ideas and share them with like-minded innovative, creative, and generous individuals. This is beyond leads groups and networking think of this as a new type of networking / brainstorming social club that takes place at a private happy hour.

This event will help you better establish how to run your business as well as introduce you to more people who share your vision. We are looking to invite business owners who understand the basics but want to bridge the gap on how to understand complex business challenges.

The event will be facilitated by Matthew Homann.

The Agenda (abridged): Tentative

6:00 - 6:45 Pizza & Soda: Meet as many other attendees as possible and share the most compelling idea you’ve heard, best book you’ve read, the most interesting person you’ve met, or most difficult problem you’re facing this year or in the past.

6:45 – 7:45 Open Space Problem Solving. Discussion of particularly problematic issues - break into small discussion groups to brainstorm solutions. Alternatively, anyone with a topic they’d like to discuss can also announce it here and interested people can join that discussion.

7:45 – 8:30 Open Space Idea Sharing. This is just like the Open Space Problem Solving session, except we’ll focus on new ideas.

8:30- 8:45 We often have things we’d like to ask others for, but are afraid to ask. I’m going to ask everyone to write down an unreasonable request, post it on the wall with their name and phone number, and anyone who wants to grant the request can do so.

8:45 – Open We’ll stick around to answer any other question and allow other to discuss ideas further with individuals they’ve met. Strategic networking with those whom you wish to better understand what they do.

This event will be invaluable for anyone who owns, manages or is responsible for business development within a small business. Again, it is a private event and you MUST RSVP as seating is limited. RSVP is by payment only.
